It's the little things

We all have them, little things in our homes that make us smile when we see them or use them on a daily basis. I thought I'd share a few of mine. I love this rug. I love what it says and of course the butterfly is a bonus:) Fergie
just had to get in on the action. It's an appropriate saying for her though don't you think!
This bowl does make me happy. I use it as often as I can. Isn't that funny?! The rug and bowl were made by Natural Life. I love everything they put out.
It's not just "things" that make me happy of course, it's the little every day stuff like my "little chick" who wants to play UNO 25 times a day. At first it was kind of annoying, but I have really started to cherish our UNO time. They are precious moments. What are your special little things throughout the day that make you smile?

After the final rose FIASCO!!

What the???
Every year my husband and I watch The Bachelor. There was the year that Brad Womak didn't choose either girl and then there was the Bachelorette that did the same thing and I vowed never to watch again. Well every year I get sucked in again and this year was a doosy. I've spent how many weeks watching this man (Jason Mesnick) dote on all these women? He had me actually believing that he was a sweet sincere sensitive guy. That was until he proposed to Melissa for the finale and then 6 weeks later broke up with her on the After the Final Rose show and said he wanted back with Molly. What a royal jerk!! I am so disgusted right now that I just had to vent. Poor Melissa! How humiliating and embarrassing. I mean minutes before I was in tears...so happy for them. Imagine how she feels. Couldn't he have picked a better time? Oh well I guess that will teach me watching "reality" television is probably not the best idea. Now if only I didn't like it so much:)

More butterflies:)

I am detecting a certain pattern with my paintings. I love butterflies!! I was inspired by Oopsy Daisy artist Jenny Kostecki on these colorful creations. They line one wall in the staircase leading down to my basement.

They make me happy. What can I say?

The Girl Scout Cookie Curse

Remember me saying I have the occasional sugar binge as a vice. WELL here's my weakness...GIRL SCOUT COOKIES!!! Every year I say I won't buy any, then I'll change my tune a little and say that I'll buy just one box of my favorites. It's a lie, don't believe me. I always cave in! I bought 14 boxes...14 boxes!!! Why do I do this to myself? I always have to lock them away because I am completely out of control. The picture above is my husband's trunk. I made him promise to take them to work. Does anybody else do this? I just have to know that I'm not the only loony woman out there.
