The Science Chicks

Last week I did something brave. I packed up my chicks and drove to the Minnesota Science Museum all by myself. Now to the average person this may not sound so brave, but I really hate traffic. I'm always scared I'll get lost. I don't care for parking garages or one way streets. I'd never been there, so I had no idea where it was. So I was really proud of myself for venturing out in the great big world;)

Once we got there the girls had a ball. Their favorite part was the lab. We did an actual experiment and discovered that liquid hand sanitizer was the least effective method for killing germs. Bleach and dish soap killed bacteria...hand sanitizer not so much. Who knew?

The museum is a BIG place...it's a little overwhelming to tell ya the truth. It was also Spring Break here in Minnesota, so we had to wait in line a long time!! They have the Dead Sea Scrolls on exhibit and that would have been really cool to see, but I didn't want to spend the $$ and the girls would have been bored.

So we explored every other nook and cranny:)

I
was looking forward to the dinosaur section the most. Unbelievable how big they were:o This bored the girls to tears for some reason.

Little Chick thought it was scary...whatever;) Anyway just goes to show you that being brave isn't so hard after all. I just have to step outside my comfort zone every now and then:) Is there anything you have to make yourself do??

Have a blessed day.

Pillow Talk

I'm a pillow fan. I love how you can change out a pillow and can completely transform a space. I recently purchased these two beauties at Home Goods. What a great store!

It makes me just love that room all the more. They some how match my curtains and my mirror...it's just magic:)

Well recently I won a fabulous give-away! Melanie from Pretties and Posies gave away the above two pillows and I got 'em. YIPPEE!!!! I can't even tell you how much they add to my plain little old denim chair. They just make me happy.

She recently opened her own Etsy store and I found this lovely Be painting...because you all know BE is my word:) It just looks so cute on my table...which is by my denim chair. So that corner is all decked out because of her.

All this to say that Melanie is having another give-away and it's really a great one. She painted this beautiful painting and is giving it away! So you need to run over there and leave her a comment ASAP. Tell her I sent you;)

Have a blessed day.

It's all good!

Well where to begin...hmmm. Easter kind of snuck up on me this year. As I sit here typing I am completely worn out. How in the world can you pack so much in to just a few days?

On Good Friday we have a tradition. We watch a children's version of the Passion of Christ called JESUS. I was really excited about it this year because my littlest is at that age where I thought she would get it...and guess what? She did!! At the end of the movie the kid actors ask if you want to ask Jesus in your heart and she did!! What a wonderful Easter gift:)

Then
on Saturday night as the Ten Commandments played in the background we dyed Easter eggs. I love that! I did it every year as a child.

Easter
morning we ate lots of eggs and splurged with the chocolate variety too...Reese's Peanut Butter Cup eggs, our favorite:)

Then
the girls got all ready and we did our annual indoor Easter egg hunt. On your mark...get set...GO!

Don't
know why this is so fun, but the girls just love running around the whole house...slipping and sliding, racing to find those empty little eggs. When they get bored, I seriously think I should just have them do Easter egg hunts. They think it is just crazy fun!

After
that we loaded in the car and headed to church. Of course it was packed. Loved the worship and the choir was dressed like a bright bunch of Easter eggs:)

After
church we headed over to our friend's house for Easter dinner. It was soooo good. For some reason this is the only picture I took that turned out. Sorry Kristine:(

We stuffed ourselves silly and now I'm sitting here in a food induced coma state. I guess that means Easter was a huge hit:) We had fun, worshipped our risen Savior and completely overate... what more could you ask for?!

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter too.

Home sweet NOISY home!

Guess
what was waiting for me when I got home from Illinois?? Shocker;) I knew he was shopping around and it was only a matter of time before the perfect set found him. Aren't they pretty?:)

He's so proud. He actually texted me a few times while I was gone and showed me pics. He felt really good about the place he got them and the person he dealt with. And guess what? They don't smell like smoke and each piece actually had a price tag on it...wow!

The
girls couldn't wait to see daddy's drums. I was really tired from driving all day and didn't want to hear them just yet...if you know what I mean;) But the Chicks were sooo excited.

So
daddy put on a little show behind closed doors. He is really really loud:o
Pray for me!

Seeing him at the drums again brought back lots of memories. When we were dating I would watch him play, and it was so exciting. It's just a thrill to see someone do something that they are good at. So happy for him:) Plus it kind of turns me on a little....shhhh did I just say that outloud?;)

Ahhh...home sweet noisy home:)

Have a blessed day.
