Trippin'

Since the brisk beginnings of January, I have been nurturing a dream... a dream to escape this frozen wasteland and head West!!! Well all my planning, scheming and just plain old dreaming becomes a reality when I jump on that plane and head for Seattle tomorrow. Can I just say I am a tad bit EXCITED:) Seattle was on my bucket list...you know the places you wanted to see before you die kind of thing. Well it's happening my friends, oh yes!

(This is how excited Sasha is to see me...ha!!)

Do you think it's weird to call up an online friend that you've never met and invite yourself for an overnight visit? No...me either and that's exactly what I did with Sasha. I have adored her blog for the longest time. We just click, and to be honest I knew someday we would meet and be "real life" friends. Well she is my first stop tomorrow. I'm going to see where little Miss Lemonade Makin' Mama lives, teaches, cooks, crafts and cracks us up on an almost daily basis. I can't wait!

(Lissa, me and Jeanne)

The next day we are heading to my friend Lissa's house for dinner. I can't wait to see her all white house in person! Jeanne is flying in too...we all met at Brave Girl Camp in Idaho and have gotten really close over the last few months. I know I'm in for some late nights, major belly laughs and wonderful memories with girls who get me, and this crazy thing I do called blogging.

Lissa has so many things planned for us my head is swimming:) Let's pray for sunny skies...she has been texting me everyday with weather updates. If it rains, she will be sooo disappointed. It really doesn't matter to me at all, because I know for a fact it will be warmer, greener and the water won't be frozen...pure heaven. These girls are just dear to me, so wish me luck. It's time to be brave again! I'll miss you.

Have a blessed day.

Isn't this the funniest picture of me? Anyhoo, Teresa over at It's a Good Day made me the Official Good Day Ambassador. So if you want, go check it out. How sweet was that?:)

  23. Sometimes just a change of scenery changes your persepective. In this case, you not only get a change of scenery but you are getting to look at with new faces. This is one of those trips that may very well add an entirely new lens to your internal camera and the way you look at the world may never be the same. How awesome is that?????

  24. It's NOT going to rain!! I just know it. It wouldn't dare!! Lissa and I decided that yesterday. And we hope God agrees.

  28. Oh, how fun!!! A girls getaway is just what every girl needs now and then! And will you do me a big favor, and give Jeanne a big hug and thank her for her sweet blog and the new series on dreaming? And give Lissa a huge, huge hug to thank her for the prayers she has lifted up for me! Tell her they are working - I am feeling so much better these last couple of weeks. Just tell them that Becky G. in GA (camelliacottage) said hi! And Becky, consider yourself hugged hugely, too! Blessings, Becky

  55. Let me start by saying that the pic at the top of your post is taken from Kerry Park (1 mile from where i grew up). I ran to that park every day when I lived on Queen Anne (make sure you get up to that spot---best view of the city ever).

Oh, how I wish you and Jeanne could venture down to my kitchen table to make boxes of joy...how are yours going, btw? Flux making your life happy?
    I wanna see!
I sold a few of my boxes on Etsy last week...always amazes me when someone buys something I made..makes me feel humble and grateful.
Have a Vun-der-bar trip! You lucked out...the weather isn't usually this good in February.
    BEST,
    Lara

  56. You will LOVE Seattle, it is our homeland! Poland is just now starting to thaw out which is almost worse than being frozen. We are locked in the grey, dirty, salty slush of dead snow. YUCK!
Seriously, you must find out how Lissa keeps her toaster so clean!! She does have children so how does this happen? I know you will have fun, we are all reading about the special things she has planned for you.
If you ever want to see Poland you are welcome here as well! You may want to stay longer than a night. It is a long plane trip.
    Safe journey friend!
    hugs,
    Rhonda
