This is kind of a touchy topic. Have you noticed lately a complete gray area with right and wrong? No one seems willing to stand up for what they believe in anymore. I'm not really sure people even know what they believe in. If you are a Christian you are Christ's follower. We follow his example. He didn't just choose to be around godly people, actually he picked some pretty flawed men to be in his posse, BUT that didn't mean that he became like them. We are supposed to stand apart, to be different. We are called as his followers to be salt and light. There should be something so unique and special about our walk that people are drawn to us and ultimately to HIM. This doesn't mean we walk around like religious zealots pushing our views down people's throats. It just means that we do as he taught us in his word and know what we believe as believers. Our lives might be the only Bible others ever read, but do we know what the actual Bible says? It's very clear, very straight to the point...no gray. To read the rest click here.
Have a blessed day.

Totally off subject - but I was wondering what kind of camera you use. I need to replace my baby and I'm not sure what direction to go in and your pictures are always gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSuch a good word!!! We must trumpet the Truth!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally someone else that feels like I do. There does not seem to be any absolute truth anymore! You are right on..thanks for posting this. You have no idea how relevant this is to my life right now..seeking truth always!
ReplyDeleteI don't just like it. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI have been a failure at this lately.
A total and complete failure.
LOVED your post!! This has been on my mind alot lately too.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully said, Becky! Love it. I stand with you. Shoulder to shoulder.
ReplyDeleteAll I've got to say is: "You go girl!" I agree 100 percent!
ReplyDeleteI heard about your blog from my dear friend Melody Mae but this is the 1st time I made it here to check it out. I'm sorry it took me so long to get here. One blog post reading and I am hooked. Your writing resonates deep with me. Thank you for your great post!
ReplyDeleteWhoa! You just kicked me and several billion other people in the butt. I am struggling with this exact thing daily, Becky. Daily!
ReplyDeleteIt says in Revelation that in the last days good will be seen as evil and evil will be seen as good. It stinks! But that's what the Bible has prophesied.
I'm loving your heart even more today. xx
I loved it Becky! So true. I feel the same way. Everyone talks of being tolerant. We are not called to be tolerant but to be loving. There is a difference. I said before, God cares more about our holiness than our happiness..yet the world just wants everyone to be happy. Love your words girl!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right on Becky. It's time for me to stop being so gray. Love what you wrote.
ReplyDeletedon't know if it's just me, but the link doesn't work. :o(
ReplyDeleteoff to read, i am !!

Great post Becky! I totally agree with what you're saying. The very first thing that I thought of when I read this was abortion, a topic I just can't even fathom that anyone could think was right. And it's something that a lot of people don't want to talk about because of political correctness.
ReplyDeleteYou rock farm girl! I am willing to be salt and light with you!
ReplyDeletethank you for speaking the truth becky. i'm so proud of you! And you changed your sidebar!
ReplyDeleteGreat Post! So true. I think it's scary. Don't you know that Satan loves it when we, as Christians, mix in with the world?! I love that you brought this up. We are suppose to be in the world...but not of the world! Great job!
ReplyDeletePreach it sister!!!
ReplyDeleteA most thought-provoking post...you are an inspiration:)
ReplyDeletefound it! Wow... I linked to it on my Facebook page. God is surely working through you and I have a renewed challenge.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
thank you:) I'm never left unchanged by those He brings to speak. He always gives grace for truth. and btw...I love the new color..red and blue. I've ALWAYS loved red.
ReplyDeletequestion..do you do custom cuffs? I was looking this morning and it would seem impossible to choose one. I want to get one for myself but not sure what I want on it. You have so many good words!
xo
Left you a comment over there, but had to say it again: amen, sister!
ReplyDeleteFabulous. Thanks for sharing your heart. I completely agree. With my career, I often feel like people look at me weird when I don't agree with 'the crowd'. Some probably question what I'm doing in this job then. It's because I'm here for the students, not to go with what everyone else is doing. Even though I can't really proclaim His truth verbally in my work environment, I can definitely share by my actions (or opposite actions) and the words I use and how I use them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder to boldly stand up for what I believe, since Jesus boldly died for my sins.
Beautifully written, Becky. We all need a little reminder to stop being so gray. Thank you for that reminder!
ReplyDeleteBecky, you are so strong! Thank you for sharing. I totally 100% agree.
ReplyDeleteleft you a comment over there as well...lovely post!
ReplyDeletewell said!
ReplyDeletethanks for shining and for sharing your heart!
always!
sure glad you did a guest post! :O)
The absolute truth!!! Keep shouting it out sister!
ReplyDeleteLoved this! Blessings up on blessing to you!
do you even have time to keep up with everyones comments? :) You would love the book "Radical" I have struggled with this very subject being back at school with alot of very young and very free thinking people. I have found a strength I never knew I had, now of course I laugh at inappropriate things sometimes because I just don't know what else to do...lol. I feel blessed to know that as a Christian I am not free of sin but I am free to choose not to sin. Sometimes it just takes time, thankfully God has given it to me.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love this!! Thank you so much for sharing, very inspirational. I'm a proud Christian too and loved reading this:)
ReplyDelete{Whoosh....}
ReplyDeleteThat's the sound
of me running off
to read your words....
Hugs to you....and
hopefully, a pic or
two, soon...
xx Suzanne
Well said!
ReplyDeleteI was away and I missed this post until now. Becky- YOU ARE SO RIGHT ON THIS! I've been thinking about this lately with a heavy heart. I often think of the saying, "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything!"
