Whatever...


I just wanted to show you guys some artsy stuff I've been working on. I haven't added anything to my Etsy store in a while. I guess it's just easier for me to make things and give them away sometimes. What's wrong with me??:)


Anyway
this piece I made for a school auction. I love Phil 4:18 Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.






Jesus rescues me...yes HE does!





These two girls were made for my friends Lori and Marylynn back home. They are wooden plaques. The second one has 1 Cor 13 handwritten on it..the LOVE chapter.





I made this one for Sasha. She had lots of creams, browns and greens in her house. I also remember seeing a Nest pillow on her couch, so I thought what would be better than to "bless this nest"!





I've been wanting to branch into jewelry making. I made this for Lissa when I went out to see her in Seattle. What do you think? Would you buy something like this?

  1. I think your things are wonderful!! The first one reminds me of Meg D's blog-Whatever. :) That is what her blog name comes from (I'm sure you knew that. Sorry.)
    I really love that necklace, and based on what I've read on her blog, I think it's perfect for Lissa. I don't know her in real life, of course, but it seems totally up her alley.
    And I would buy it myself, even though it's different from what I normally wear. Branching out is a very good thing. :)

  5. Becky!!!!!! I LOVE these! The first one would be so great in my girls room. Actually so would the second one. Jesus rescues me - love that! And PLEASE do make more jewelry! Obviously I love jewelry, but I don't make anything like that and I really really like it! How much? :)

  8. I love all of these paintings, Becky! And I just looked at your Etsy store and saw even more that I loved!!! I can't get over how cute the little girl on the chair is! And the girl with the cherry hat...too cute!

    And yes, I would absolutely buy that necklace and am sure many of my friends would love to receive one. I've been putting off a necklace project myself because I am not sure where to find the chain I want to use. I think it's called "ball chain".

  11. Really cool stuff. That last one ~ the love bravely tree ~ it would also make a really cool key chain. I like things that I can hold in my hand every day. I am a person that needs constant reminders of positive things. Somedays I am just looking for something to hold onto! Anyhooo ~ KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

  21. Sweet! I just love your trees...and Phil 4:18 is one of my favorite verses. The Julie version..because I can never remember the admirable part (but will now!) goes like this...

    Whatever is true...noble..right..pure...lovely...spiffy...nifty...and great.

  22. I love that little Fairy! Beautiful! ;) My little girl has two flower fairy sketches I did for her in her room... they are not perfect... but they make her happy! he he! I can paint or sketch for my kiddos... not quite 'selling material' just yet!! LOL! I love that you add scriptures and little blessings on your beautiful art!

  36. I love your stuff.. and my picture blesses my NEST every single time I look at it! I hung in on the tiny wall right beside my sliding glass door, and I look at it at least twenty times a day. YOu are so talented... I say just go for it with the jewelry thing. I know people will buy stuff from you!

  38. You've been busy girl! And yes I would definitely buy that necklace. I've been thinking about making some jewelry myself and using my watercolor painting inside of the pendant. A friend just told me there is a kit you can buy where you can actually make your own resin shapes for the pendant. Awesome huh?

    I am the same way as you are Becky. I give so much of what I make away. What is wrong with us?????

  47. Thank you for you sweet comment on my painted table. I spent many of my summer days in a small town in illinois called Algonquin not even sure if I am spelling that correctly. Catching fireflies and picking wild berries that my sister and I would eat. That is the first place that I ever saw it snow. Those were good memories. Thanks for bringing them back to me today.
