Today is a special day in our family. My father-in-law is being honored tonight in Mt Zion, IL. He served on the village board there for many years and tonight they are having a ceremony to honor his service. Ralph passed away in March from lung cancer. He never smoked and was incredibly healthy. It was such a shock for us to get the call that he had stage 4 lung cancer. For any of you that have suffered the loss of someone close you know that it takes a really long time to heal. Hopefully the reality will get less painful with time. That's what everyone says.
