The past few days are a blur. We have literally found ourselves in a maze of trees. Trees representing complete and utter confusion. Have you ever prayed for something...only to have it start to move in that direction and then you don't know if you want it at all?? Is it fear holding you back...lack of faith? Is it just emotion??
I know confusion isn't from the Lord. It's always been our heart's desire to be in God's will and to follow the path He has for us. But what if sometimes that path is really hard to make out. What if sometimes the answers that you are looking for just don't come? How do you know which way to go? Where's the burning bush? The angel in white...telling you just what to do. We need answers. A sign...something.
We have a big decision to make. One that will change our paths. Please pray for us.
Have a blessed day.

Oh Becky, I will absolutely pray for you.
ReplyDeleteI really do understand what you're talking about, waiting when you are faced with the unknown can really be terrifying.
Wishing you and your family only good things and a smooth path. :-)
XO,
Anne

ReplyDeleteThinking of YOU!! May God whisper in your heart as you wait for His voice!! XXOO, Damaris
ReplyDeleteoh becky, i am looking for a sign too! i am praying for you dear friend!
ReplyDeleteI always figure that if the "answer" was crystal clear then I probably wouldn't seek His face nearly as often! {think He might know that?!}
ReplyDeletePraying that as you seek Him, the sign will come into focus :-)
I feel ya girl! I will be praying for guidance. Love, V

I am feeling for you. Almost a year ago we left everything behind to move to a new place to save our soon to be senior in high school. She is thriving but we are saddled with a house still for sell in the midwest and no income. We wonder what the plan is for us and we desperately need a sign but we do know it was worth it to save our girl.
ReplyDeleteI'm praying and you keep looking up. Expect an answer. All the best to you and your family. :)
ReplyDeleteYou got it, friend, freely given :) Hugs, too.
ReplyDeleteBecky, sending prayers your way!!!!
ReplyDeletexo,

I pray that God would be ever present and as you would lean on him, you would find not only the answers but, also the peace only he can bring!
ReplyDeleteHave you heard the song "Revelation" by Third Day? I've been playing it on my iPod a lot.
ReplyDeleteit's a test of your total trust.....enjoy the shade and protection those trees give you
ReplyDeletein my prayers...
I will pray for you. Sometimes there isn't a clear answer, but as long as you still follow Him and trust in Him you won't be steered wrong. A burning bush would be cool though, right?

Confusion comes from a place of fear. Fear could be stepping outside your comfort zone? Not having all the details right before you? I guess that's when true faith is necessary...and that is knowing that God is leading you into the direction He has chosen for you. That's the way things have worked for me in the past. Sometimes He's had to give me more than a nudge, more like a swift kick! :-)
ReplyDeletePraying for you to be led in HIS direction.
Pat
Amen! And praying! :) How many times I too have asked for a sign and how many times have I laid out my fleece.... but something I have come to a slight conclusion on is that God just wants to have an intimate relationship with us. Ultimately He doesn't care (for example) where we work, what we drive or where we live, as long as we seek Him in all that we are, live according to Him and love Him. Sometimes I think we are called to make leaps of faith and see where we land and let Him lead us on the other side. Also the lessons we learn along the way are something else all together and sometime those, in themselves, are the point of our experience! God bless you! *heart*
ReplyDeleteI'm praying for you. I know how hard it is when you can't see the sign clearly.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand what you're saying, Becky. Just remember that you'll know when you're smack dab in the center of God's Will when your heart tells you it's "good" and it's all for His glory! :) I'll be keeping you and yours in my prayers, dear girl. ♥

Praying for you and your family so that you'd have perfect peace in the choice you have ahead.

I feel you. For me, it's usually a pocket of unbelief holding me back. A kind of functional atheism...where I say I believe THIS about God, but don't FULLY trust and apply what I say I believe. This is where the rubber meets the road. Hard, but good. Can't wait to hear about the other side. If you trust, it's going to be GOOD!!!
ReplyDeleteXo,
Linsey
In these cases, I always lean heavy into
ReplyDeleteJames 1:5 ~
"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."
Asking for wisdom for you...
I just stumbled upon your blog. You are so very talented and I love that you give all the credit to God. I see that you are looking for clear direction from God. I can't tell you what he wants you to do but I can tell you some of my personal experiences in times of tough decisions. I try not make a move until I know I've herd from God. Then when I step out in faith to do what I've herd- If I loose His peace- I step back and start over. If I keep it I move forward. You will know the difference of nerves and the feeling of loosing His peace. If your still not sure just continue to pray and be patience for His answer. Doing this has really helped me to stay in Gods will for my life. I will pray for you! God bless you!
ReplyDeleteGod will not let you get this wrong, Girl. He knows your heart. He knows you want what He wants. I know that's not too helpful when you need that burning bush, but it's true!
ReplyDeleteStill praying...
Ugh, sometimes being a Christian is hard. We're supposed to believe, trust, listen and be at peace. We're human and it's not always easy to do. Remember God knows this. Keep looking to Him. He will guide you. Prayers for you and your hubby and those cute little chicks.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you and your family. May God bring you peace and comfort in your heart as you make the desicion that is before you.
ReplyDeleteKeeping you in my thoughts & prayers, Becky:) Hope you find the answers you seek...
ReplyDeleteLove you sweetie. You know I'm praying.
ReplyDeletePraying for you, and all your peeps!
ReplyDeleteHope today finds you smiling Becky.
Praying!
ReplyDeleteI was praying for you this morning and God gave me this scripture for you. Romans 8: 28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
ReplyDeleteMy advice (if you want it... if not, feel free to stop reading!) after just recently coming through a pretty confusing time, is to let yourself be quiet, stop pushing, and open yourself up to what God wants you to hear. For myself, I realized that I was continually pressing the issue, telling God to tell me the answer, tell me the answer, tell me the answer! But when I settled down and stopped pushing, the answers came. Praying for you!
ReplyDeleteYou got it Becky! Many many prayers...I know you guys will choose the right path. I just know it!!!
ReplyDeleteBecky,
ReplyDeleteYou already know I'm praying for you and I understand big, heavy decisions... they are monstrous and weighty...but God blesses us regardless. Ask for closed doors...in my experience, he gives them. If it's not right, you'll know. Praying for you guys...
I know completely how you are feeling right now, my family is in the same situation. Our future is so unclear, and we are waiting. Trusting. We know the Lord has a plan, we are praying for answers, direction, a path. I will be praying for you today as I move through my day, it would be an honor. In Christ alone, your hope will be found...trust Him! : )
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs,
Emily
You are in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you, Becky. As you might know, my husband just lost his job, so we're facing a lot of uncertainty right now. One thing we're sure of, though, is that God holds the future and He will see us through this trying time! I know He'll do the same for you and your family. You have my prayers!
ReplyDeleteI hope your answers come Becky. I certainly will pray for you. Life is always so full of uncertainty. A lot of times I think it's fear of the unknown that holds us back or perhaps being comfortable with our current circumstances. I often feel like I need a burning bush too.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you too on your Romantic Homes feature. Yay!
hugs ♥ tricia
When I read this post, I felt like you were talking directly to me. I've been waiting for the right answer for a looong time. I will pray for you for sure! :)
ReplyDeleteDear God, please give Becky and her family wisdom; clear, strong, solid insight, even if it's just the next step and not the whole road. Thanks for knowing we need this from You and being so happy to give it to us. I love you. In Jesus' name, Amen.
ReplyDeleteDone! And this is a tough spot, been lost in the trees a time or two myself.
You are in my prayers. I recently got my sign and the change is for the best. I hope for that same blessing in your life.
ReplyDeleteHi Becky,
ReplyDeleteI am praying for you, that whatever crossroad you are at right now, that you will have the needed wisdom to make the best decision spiritually for your family.
I came over from Leanna's blog (thoughts and whatnots) after reading your comment on her blog. Your comment, like her post, touched me. I am a follower of Christ as well, one that is seeking the truth with all of my heart, and I am encouraged by others that are doing the same. I have written a few Bible Study articles at mariessimplelife@blogspot.com that might be encouraging, if you feel like reading them. You will have to go back a few posts. I am not writing you to "drive traffic" to my blog, or to get you to be a follower, just to give encouragement, as you have encouraged me. Love and prayers!
Debbie
I enjoyed looking at your photos. :)
ReplyDeleteYou and your family are in my prayers.
Mary
Change seems to be happening all around us...I will pray for you.
ReplyDeleteWaiting always seems to be the most difficult. Praying for you and your family, Becky.
ReplyDeleteThoughts and prayers with you sweetie. xo
ReplyDeleteHoping & praying you find the answers you seek:)
ReplyDeletePraying that your answer comes.
ReplyDeleteSometimes when we don't know what to do, the best thing to do is wait.
But if we feel like we need to take a leap of faith, then we can always be assured that if it's not the right decsion of Romans 8:28
Hang in there:)
Prayers to you, love. I hope your path becomes clearer.
