It is always such a treat for me to be able to get to know someone. I love it when people will actually talk to you and open up about their life. I am that way. I couldn't be a closed book if I tried. So our sharing time was really special to me. I got a little glimpse into her life and she learned about mine.
Another Brave Girl...Gayle showed up a little later and we all had a yummy dinner at the Split Rock Grille inside the hotel. I felt like I was in another city. I'd never been in that hotel or eaten at that restaurant. It was a little lesson to me to break free from the routine box and see what else is out there. There is a huge world outside my door...places right here that I've never seen. I just need to open my eyes a little.

ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more with you about needing to get out of my routine. In fact, I was feeling restless all day today, so I changed my blog all around just for the heck of it! (with a ton of help from LeAnna. That girl is amazing.)

ReplyDeleteI loooove exploring new and different places. Whenever we are on a road trip and it's time to stop to eat, we try to go into town a bit to find a local place to dine rather than at one of the several the chain eateries that are always just off the interstate.

ReplyDeleteI know the feeling of "nerves" that come up when someone wants to get together (last minute- breaking routines) and the battle I have of "you want to do it and you don't want to..." but in the end, I'm always so grateful for joining in on the adventure.
