Please don't hate me!

Okay this is the post where I tell you that after just getting back from Hawaii I am jet setting off to another warm sunny locale. It's not quite as glamorous as it sounds really...Honey has a business thing and I begged and pleaded to tag along.

Oh yeah and it's in MIAMI!!! I've never been to Florida, unless you count eating at a Red Lobster in Pensacola once.

My folks are here now to take care of the Chicks and we take off early this week. I won't be posting very often the next few weeks because my parents don't like it when I'm on the computer when they are here. What's up with that??

When I travel I have really weird thoughts. Like...I know my kids will be taken care of if something happens to me... if I'm in a plane crash or something, but what about my blogging buddies? How will they know? No one knows my blogger password. Will they notice if I never blog again...will they miss me?? I actually think that way. I'm nutty...what can I say.

Anyway just so we are clear. If you never hear from me again it is because I'm dead or in a coma or something, and I can't remember that I even have a blog. I would never just not post again. Now this is turning into the weirdest post I have ever written. Anyway I love you girlies a lot (and I really mean it)... MISS ME!!!

{Just because...isn't she cute?}

Oh and sidenote. Someone recognized me from my blog at the gym today and sent me an email later asking if it was me. It was the strangest thing ever. I think I had a goofy grin on my face for about half an hour. I felt famous...HA! Has that ever happened to you? It was really cool. If it hasn't I hope it does some day:)

Have a great weekend.

  9. I won't hate you for jetting off to Florida Becky ~ have a blast. As for the other ~ I have had those thoughts too ~ first time when we were on the highway heading to a family function. I thought it was just me and my morbid thoughts!! Glad to see someone else shares my concerns. I have created a document with all our info on it and update it every New Years. My SIL knows where it is and what to do in case of an emergency. I am a little anal retentive like that! Have a wonderful trip. xo

  10. I am not worthy! You're famous wow! No one will ever recognize me because no one knows I blog in my town, ha! Just the way I like it! Have a great trip just the two of you!

  11. You are going to have a great time!

    Here is my question-
    Why would your parents care if you are on the computer while they are staying with your chicks? I have really been thinking about this, and I cannot come up with an answer-

    Have a Fun, Sunny & Romantic trip with your hubby, and don't worry about us bloggers. :)

  12. You mean EVERY mom DOESN'T have those thoughts? I'm WEIRD? Well, then at least I'm in good company!! Have a wonderful trip to Miami. I was only there for a couple of days bookending a cruise a few years back. If I'd been blogging I would have found A LOT of fodder for my camera and my writing, so snap away! Now, I have a little hint for you when you are back home and your parents are still visiting: ERRANDS. While you are erranding {alone} you can stop in at your local public library and LOG ON to your Blogger account and at least come by and visit us, if you can't post. Otherwise, we'll miss you! Bon Voyage : ) xx P&H

  16. oh my gosh, I am so glad to read you have those same thoughts! I have traveled more this past year than I have probably in the 9 yrs. since we started having kids and I seriously wondered the same things...even about my blog! lol So funny. And yet...a little deranged!

  21. NO FREAKING WAY!! (about thinking, "What if I die?") I think that exact same thing! Okay, let's exchange blogger info. It'll be like giving each other a spare key, which I would so totally give you girl.

    I can't believe you thought that, because I have thought so many times, if something happened, I would have you be the one to log in and talk to my readers. It would have to be someone who knows blogging, you know?

    I just love you even more because of this post.

    Oh, and have a ball baby!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. I always worry about things like that. When my kids were little I'd write them each a note and tuck it away in case my plane crashed...how morbid is that!?
    Nowadays I call my kiddies when I return from a trip and am usually greeted with a..."Had no idea you were gone Mom!"

    ::sigh::

  29. Well...I only hate you a little because you know...I am still stuck here in Minnesota :)

    That is pretty cool that someone recognized you! That would be fun. Last week we had the opposite. One of my posts made the June Goodhousekeeping magazine & I didn't even know it had come out & I had bloggers recognize my daughter & me in the magazine & got all these emails :) It was funny. She totally felt like a celeb & people have been asking her to sign it. So exciting :)

    But have fun in Miami! I totally know what you mean about worrying when you are away. I am nutty like that too!

  34. None of us could ever hate you for getting too much happiness. I'm sure I speak for everyone who reads your blog every time you post when I say, GOOD FOR YOU! Have a nice time exploring Miami. Urban jungles will have beauty just like the tropical jungles of Hawaii! I will miss your posts (oh, try to sneak one or two in--if for no other reason than to be a bad girl. *tee hee*) And about people wondering what happened to you, I've thought of that, too, with my FB friends. Luckily (I think) I have a clever 14 yr old daughter who has been able to figure out every password I've ever thought of so she would notify everyone...I think. Hmmmmm.....Anyway, enjoy enjoy N-JOY. ~Joy

Second, you lucky mom - getting time alone with your guy - and nobody hollering, 'Mom' while your in the bathroom. and, third, yes, moms are such organization freaks that we want to organize everything for after we're gone. Have a great time! Enjoy thinking uninterrupted thoughts!
