Date Night

This weekend we went out with some friends and saw the hilarious new movie Date Night. It stars Steve Carell and Tina Fey. I can without hesitation tell you that it was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. There was one scene where I thought Honey and I were both going to fall out of our seats (or pee my pants in my case).

Their two characters are just the normal old married couple. They are glorified roommates, as most of us are who've been married for any length of time. They've kind of lost their spark amongst the normal day to day duties of working and being parents. So he takes her into the city for a nice dinner and danger lands in their lap. They spend the evening running from trouble with full on car chases and strip tease routines.

I always love a movie that makes you feel warm and fuzzy when you leave. And this one did. I felt cleansed from all the laughing and just felt happy inside. I definitely recommend it for your date night:) It has language in it, but if you can ignore the occasional swear word I think you will love it.

Have a blessed day.

  30. I saw this with my husband on Friday night and it was a great escape for a couple of hours! The best bits for me were the DANCING SCENE {I know you remember this!} and Steve Carrell's speech to Tina Fey in the coffee shop at the end. I actually really love him when he is playing SERIOUS. I thought he was wonderful in Dan in Real Life....lovely little film. xx P&H
